Helsinki Airport Terminal 1

Helsinki Airport Terminal 1 serves Domestic and Schengen flights. It is home of Star Aliance carriers such as SAS, Norwegian and Lufthansa.


Helsinki Airport Terminal 1 consists of four levels:

Ground Level

Access to the Terminal  through the parking facilities.

Arrivals Level

This is the Arrivals level.

Find the baggage claim, customs, check-in desks from 101 to 114 and check-in kiosks.

Services: ATMs, Toilets, Cafés and Restaurants, Mailbox, Kiosk, Disabled Toilets, among others.

Access to ground transportation (bus and taxi).

The Airport Train Station is accessible through the connecting corridor to Terminal 2.

Departures Level

This is the Departures level.

Find here the security check and access to the boarding gates 5 to 15.

Services: Cafés and restaurants, Water refill stations, Toilets, Smoking area, Tax refund, Mail box, Duty free, Retail stores, among others.

Find also an airline lounge, SAS Lounge.

Lounges level

This is where lounges are located.

Transfer between terminals

Helsinki Airport Terminal 1 is linked to Terminal 2 by a 250-meter internal pedestrian walkway.

SAS Lounge, located in Gate 13. Opening hours: This lounge opens daily an hour prior the first SAS flights and closes 60 minutes before the last flight. Services: Premium food, Snacks, Wi-Fi, Newspapers and magazines, Flight monitors, TV, Internet terminals, Telephones. Please note it is a non-smoking facility.
