Helsinki Airport Terminal 1

Helsinki Airport Terminal 1 serves as the domestic and the Schengen flights terminal. This terminal is home of the Star Aliance carriers such as SAS and Lufthansa.

It is a small area, which contains the check-in desks 101 to 114 and also boarding gates 11 – 15.

Please note that this terminal is directly connect to railway services (Airport Train Station).


Present & Future

It is planned that by 2020, Helsinki Airport will host boarding gates 1-15.


Transfer between terminals

Both airport terminals are linked by a 250-meter internal pedestrian walkway.



Helsinki Airport Terminal 1 consists of 4 levels: Ground level, Arrivals level and Departures Level.

- Ground Level: There is access to the ground transportation (bus and taxi).

- Arrivals Level: Baggage claim, customs, check in desks from 101 to 114 and check in kiosk.

- Departures Level: Security check in, access to the boarding gates.

Airport lounges

Helsinki Airport Terminal 1 is equipped with SAS Lounge, located in Gate 13. Opening hours: This lounge opens daily an hour prior the first SAS flights and closes 30 minutes before the last flight.
