TERMINAL 1 AND TERMINAL 2

Helsinki airport (Vantaa airport) has one main building with two passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, connected to each other. Distance between both of them is about 300 meters. In order to better understand how are them located, check the terminal map.

TERMINAL 1 - DOMESTIC AND Schengen

It’s the oldest terminal in Helsinki airport. The terminal connects directly with the Train station to reach Helsinki Central railway station.

It has gates from 11 to 31. It handles all European flights in the Schengen area.

The terminal building has 4 levels: Ground level, Arrivals level and Departures Level.

- Ground Level: there is access to the ground transportation (bus and taxi).

- Arrivals Level: baggage claim, customs, check in desks from 101 to 114 and check in kiosk.

- Departures Level: security check in, access to the boarding gates.

TERMINAL 2 - non-schengen

It is the largest terminal at Helsinki airport. It has gates from 32 to 38. It handles all the non-Schengen flights and the long-haul flights. As well as Terminal 1, the Terminal 2 has direct connection to the airport’s train station to reach Helsinki central railway station.

The building has the following levels: Ground level, Arrivals level, Departures Level and Lounge Level.

Around Helsinki airport there are located various hotels and offices. In fact, next to the airport complex it is located the business park known as “Aviapolis”  

- Ground Level: Access to the ground transportation and to short term parking.

- Arrivals Level: baggage claim, customs.

- Departures Level: security check in, check-in kiosks

- Lounges Level: Access to Lounges
